Attorney's Fees in Civil Cases

In personal injury cases, I charge on a contingency basis, which is an agreed upon percentage of the monetary damages that the client recovers. In contingency cases, no attorney's fees are owed if the client does not recover any damages. In all other civil cases, I charge based on an hourly rate, which ranges from $150 -$250 per hour, depending on the complexity of the case. In certain cases, such as drafting and filing mechanics lien affidavits and business transaction documents, I offer flat fee prices. If there is a civil lawsuit required, then a retainer or deposit is required to cover the additional services that may be required.
